Het Leedy Trio
The Leedy Trio appeared on stage since 1947. The Dutch amusement-trio originally existed of bassplayer and man of dry humour Ger Faber, Guitarist en comediant Bert Bibaz, with his powerful voice, which he could use in a crazy way but also as a serious singer, who were completed with pianist/composer John Möring, who left them in 1962 to go and work for Bovema as producer (becoming the Dutch EMI). His place was taken by Tonny Dijkman, but after his passing away in november 1966 he was replaced in 1967 by Ad Veen. Ad used to be a slender man studying piano at the conservatory, but then he became a both very striking and voluminous showfigure, of which his performance of their success “Beestjes”, also on Dutch T.V., very much testifies. Ger Faber was married to Conny Hollestelle, alias Conny Vandenbos, until he passed away in 1998. He also was a manager with recordcompany Basart Records International for which company the Leedy trio also recorded in those days on the Park and Vier Wieken labels.
