On the Ed Sullivan TV-show in America in 1968, Andy entertained the studio audience by singing Scottish songs in the style of Dean Martin. On this UK single release he turns the tables somewhat by performing one of Martin’s own recent releases ‘Rainbows are Back in Style‘. In a complete departure from his well-known style, Andy performs his version as a “pop-country” song – with a vocal performance sounding remarkably like Martin himself. The B-side is, if anything, even more “Martin-ified” than the A-side!
