Eindhoven’s “Tony Vos”, actually a well-known Jazz musician, had success in the Dutch charts in the summer of 1963, not with jazz, but with the cheerful sing-along “Een zwoele zotte zomer” (‘translated’ by Tony & Willem van Kooten alias Joost den Draaier Veronica-dj like Tineke de Nooij, Tony’s wife) , which in 8 weeks rose to the twelfth place! However, he had to share this success with “Nat King Cole” who, with “Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days Of Summer”, entered the original version at the same time in the Dutch charts.
Tony is also famous for being producer of many succesful Dutch acts like ‘Rudy Bennett’, ‘Bintangs‘, ‘Cuby & the Blizzards‘, ‘Ekseption‘, ‘Boudewijn de Groot‘.
